Discosoma mushrooms are hardy, beginner-friendly soft corals that thrive in low-to-moderate light (50–150 PAR) and low-flow areas of the aquarium. They prefer placement on the sandbed or lower rockwork to avoid bleaching and detachment. They are photosynthetic but can be spot-fed sparingly.
